. 1 Okja~ okja(2017) is a South Korean movie directed by Oscar winner Bong Joon Ho. It is a heart warming tale of a girl named 'Mija' and her giant mutant pig 'Okja'.The pig is the physical and intellectual property of a multinational corporation. Mija lived with her pig 'Okja' happily but then 'Lucy Mirando' the CEO of the corporation invites all the mutant pigs called 'super pigs' which were sent 10 year back to the farmers in different locations for the competition to breed the best pig. 'Dr. Johny Wilcox' the zoologist and the spokesperson of Lucy Mirando' arrives and takes okja away from the Mija. Mija runs away to Seoul to find Okja and then to Newyork. In Newyork , thousands of experiments were done on Okja and then she was sent to slaughter house . Atlast , Mija finds Okja and she is able to save her by offering golden pig 'which was given to Okja by his grandfather ' in exchange for Okja's life. Hidden cameras and aerial drones used by film makers to investigate the dark side of animal agriculture.It shows that how animals are exploited and abused by humans, including clothing, entertainment and research.This documentary is divided into 18 clearly structured chapters , how different species: pigs, laying hens and meat chickens, turkey,cows, sheep, goats,fish,rabbit,mink,fixes,dogs,horses, seals and dolphins are used and misused in different ways. An environmentalist daringly seeks to find the real solution of the most pressing environmental issues and finds real solution. It explores the impact of animal agriculture on the environment and investigates the policies of a few environmental organisations on this issue. IMDb rating~8.3/10. There are also movies like ' What the Health' , 'The game changers' , ' Food INC' ,'The Invisible vegan' , 'Plant pure nation','HOPE' .......which are based on vegan diets and animal rights.
